Could we really get away with a season of metal films without showing the mother of them all? A spoof documentary (or, if you will, rockumentary) which set out to satirise the worst excesses of hair metal and pomp rock, This Is Spinal Tap ended up becoming a touchstone and perhaps even an inspiration for many of the bands it took the mickey out of. You may well already be able to recite it in your sleep (dusting for vomit, Big Bottoms, eleven, Stonehenge, etc), but for full appreciation it needs to be experienced in a cinema, loud.

Make the most of Metal on Film with a weekend pass for only £25, covering all the metal screenings at Light House from 2-4 September. Book here at the Box-Office 01902 716 055
