‘Singing for Lung Health Wolverhampton’ is a weekly singing group for adults with respiratory problems. The group started up on September 23rd 2015 with an initial 12 weeks of funding from the British Lung Foundation, a national charity leading the fight against lung disease.
This group is currently fundraising to help the long term plans of the group. To visit the fundraising page and video, click here.

It will be held on term-time Wednesdays 11.30am – 1pm. Check with Carl for school holiday dates.

£4 inc refreshments

No previous experience of singing is necessary and there’s no need to be able to read sheet music because all songs are taught by ear.

New friendships have formed since the group began, with attendees saying how much they enjoy the camaraderie within the group. Sessions are a lot of fun!

Many of the people attending have chronic lung conditions which are potentially very limiting on their quality of life. This group offers a weekly opportunity for something to look forward to and aim towards.

Relaxation and breathing exercises help people to manage their conditions and develop better breath control.

We sing traditional songs from around the world in rounds and in harmony, as well as ‘busking’ classic pop songs. All the songs are chosen to suit people with breathing problems.
