FEBRUARY EXHIBITION: MAIN GALLERY
PHOTOGRAPHY BY GRAHAM STUBBS
Graham Stubbs has been taking photographs seriously for over a dozen years, and has had a number of local exhibitions.
He loves the simplicity and honesty of black & white photography but is starting to experiment with using more colour.
He says “My work is inspired by what I see around me every day, I like the idea of “mapping”, or exploring familiar places as if they were foreign and unfamiliar.
“The “Crossing Wolves” series was produced on a single walk along the canal from Billbrook to Bradley Lane. I think that there is something magical about the Black Country canals. They are a link to the heavy industry of our past, but also now a ribbon of nature running through the centre of a very built up area.”
This exhibition also includes a small collection of other recent local photographs.
