An Artsfest Event

#OurSharedFutures is a multi-media exhibition documenting the reality of those in flight from persecution and war, and the creative resilience of individuals forced to start their lives again in a foreign country.

The exhibition prompts us to rethink our often casual take on freedom and review the critical importance of welcome in our city. It is a reminder of the need for humane responses to the refugee crisis. An integral part of the exhibition is a celebration of our refugee and migrant communities in Wolverhampton.

#OurSharedFutures provides an opportunity for unknown stories to be shared, and dialogue to continue further around the theme of welcome and sanctuary for those new to our city.

Themes of identity, migration, integration and welcome are explored throughout the exhibition with work from emerging Wolverhampton artists, newly arrived artists, community groups and local schools.
