An Artsfest Event

19 June 2017 – 19 June 2017, 2pm

UoW Media Awards recognize journalistic talent. This is not just a student competition, we will also acknowledge the work of those who support and encourage the students every day (lecturers, tutors, media educators).

This year the UoW Media Awards have two main sections: Student productions and Media educators, but focus primarily on rewarding new talent. Each section will include several categories that reflect the innovation within the media industry and journalism education. The criteria for each category will be published on the UoW website after 20 March 2017.

Entries from both schools/colleges and local broadcasters are welcome, so if you are a college student still thinking about what course to take or looking to pursue a career in journalism, this is the perfect opportunity to make yourself known. The judges are established journalists and academics, and nominations will be announced at the beginning of Artsfest (12 June 2017). Join us for a special afternoon on June 19th 2017 to celebrate together the journalists of the future.
