Based on the novel by Jo Brand. Set in the 1980s the story of the relationship between a mother, her daughter and the music of The Smiths. Gina is a young mother trying to provide a stable and loving home to her husband Keith and her daughter Alice. However, Gina develops ‘De Clerambault Syndrome’ in which she imagines grand passions on behalf of others and reads secret meanings into ordinary conversations. A heart -warming, frank and stark comedy that addresses mental health issues and how they can impact on family. Starring Sheridan Smith, Mark Addy and Ricky Tomlinson.
