FUTURA presents a convention day on Saturday 15th June crammed full of science-fiction, including panels, readings, kafeeklatsches and much more on the day.

FUTURA brings together a host of science-fiction authors and publishers for a day loaded with panels, readings, signings, booksales and much more.

We will also be having an all day Real Ale bar and Lock Works Cafe/Bar and the courtyard area will be open for drinks until 12.30am.

This event has been organised for Light House by ALEX DAVIS, an independent event organiser and writing tutor based in Derby. He established the highly successful Alt.Fiction event in 2006, which he worked on for five years, before working with QUAD to establish the Edge-Lit event in 2012 and Futura in 2013. Over his years of work in genre literature, he has worked with leading names including Iain M Banks, Peter V Brett, Mike Carey, Harry Harrison, Brian Lumley, Michael Marshall Smith, Robert Rankin, Charles Stross and many more.
