The legendary Miss Saigon comes to cinemas for one day only on Sunday 16th October. This spectacular, sell-out 25th Anniversary Gala Performance of the global stage sensation also features appearances by the original cast including Jonathan Pryce and Lea Salonga.
This acclaimed new production was described as “the most thrilling, soaring and emotionally stirring musical with magnificent performances” by the Daily Telegraph and “the greatest musical of all time” by the Daily Mail. The epic love story tells the tragic tale of young bar girl Kim, orphaned by war, who falls in love with American GI Chris – but their lives are torn apart by the fall of Saigon.
MISS SAIGON has been a huge audience favourite since it first hit the UK stage and with songs by Schonberg & Boublil (LES MISERABLES) it has had 2 very successful West End runs, a barnstorming Broadway outing, plus a sell-out UK regional tour back in 2004. The show has now finished its West End run and is heading once again for Broadway next year.
The 25th Anniversary Performance is a special one-off recorded show featuring many of the original cast (including Olivier & Tony Award winners Jonathan Pryce and Lea Salonga) returning to the stage to celebrate the long-running musical hit. Rather than stream live, we will have this celebratory performance available on DCP for one-day only and if desired you can programme more than 1 show time, plus vary the start time to suit each cinema’s specific local audience needs.
