Thursday 27th October 11am – 1pm
Have you ever wondered how decisions are made for age ratings on films?
What makes the difference between a 12A and 15 scene, and what material needs to be cut?
Come along to our ‘Behind the scenes at the BBFC’ masterclass session and hear about both the history of the British Board of Classification and how modern classification guidelines are interpreted when age rating films.
BBFC Education Officer, Heidi Renton is the speaker for this popular annual event for film
students and adult film enthusiasts. She will discuss the legal and ethical considerations
made by film examiners, and illustrate her fascinating talk with clips.
There will also be an opportunity for a Q&A session.
