Ronald “Bill”  Kelly
Board member
Bill has been a Light House board member for three years. He joined out of an interest in seeing Light House grow and thrive having been a regular customer since the centre opened.

Bill has been married for 30 years, with 3 children. He spent most of his working life as a mechanical engineer at Goodyear/Dunlop UK Ltd. Bill has been passionately interested in film since he was a young boy, and has been a member of the British Film Institute for over 35 years. Bill has a specific interest in archive cinema, in particular British archive cinema & has recently joined the committee for the Wolverhampton History and Heritage society. Bill has completed 12 marathons, mainly for charity, and enjoys gardening.

Kate Copestake
Board member

Kate Copestake is a feature writer, journalist, editor and director of Copestake Ltd, a business media communications and copywriting company based in Wolverhampton. Kate’s past company, computer games and animation company Synthetic Dimensions, was one of the first businesses based in the Chubb Buildings, alongside the Light House, in 1990. Her late partner and co director Dr Kevin Bulmer, a leading 3D artist and animator, was a Wolverhampton Business Champion and a member of the Creative Industries board and the Animation Forum based at Light House. Kate is a past VP of the Wolverhampton Chamber of Commerce and has been involved with several groups engaged in promoting the City. She is both a graduate and a governor of the University of Wolverhampton. She has lived in Tettenhall for 22 years.


lettyLetty Edwards began her career with Bass Group cutting her teeth on brands such as Carling Black Label, Hooper’s Hooch and Caffery’s Irish Ale. She then moved to Tetley Tea and helped build the brand through innovation and communication. In 2001 Letty joined ICI (now AkzoNobel) and progressed through the organisation and latterly led the UK retail marketing function across Dulux, the iconic British Brand. As a result Dulux was voted number 8 in the UK’s Superbrand poll in 2011. In 2013 Letty joined the board of management at Fox’s biscuits working with the team to re-structure and re-launch the brand and turnaround the fortunes of the business, growing both market share and profit. In 2015 Letty founded The Mind Collective offering strategic business, marketing and brand consultancy.

Letty is an experienced and commercially-minded businesswoman and marketer with excellent strategic capability, consumer understanding and a real passion for brands and marketing, as well as people. She has over 20 years’ experience and has worked at all levels within an organisation and understands the need to translate the organisational mission and purpose into marketing strategy and plans that deliver results.

Letty has experience of working with charities and not-for-profit organisations offering her marketing skills to help develop and grow The Calvert Trust, a charity that helps challenge disability and enrich lives through outdoor adventure and activities ( She has also worked with The Moor Pool Heritage Trust to protect the integrity of one of Birmingham’s most beautiful suburbs ( Letty was also a Council Member of the British Brands Group focusing on influencing UK policy makers across regulatory issues that threaten the value and benefit of brands and businesses in the United Kingdom (
