  • Unique event and conference space
  • Iconic City Centre Venue

Situated 2 minutes walk from Wolverhampton Train Station, close to the Birmingham – Wolverhampton Metro stop and Bus / Coach station and on the main Wolverhampton A4150 Ring Road, Light House Media Centre is a cultural hidden gem in the centre of the city, ideal for companies and event planners looking for a more creative setting for their events, meetings and conferences.

Stepping into a huge, glass covered courtyard event managers immediately see the potential of this quirky space, which is the hub of culture for the city and houses the only independent cinema in The Black Country. Events have ranged from the annual Deaffest Festival to Americana style and music fairs, Health Conferences, Sci Fi Days, Proms, Film Premieres and Car Launches to Barn Dances, Political conferences, Award ceremonies, Religious celebrations and Charity Fundraisers. The large, indoor cobbled courtyard is both modern and quirky, filled with sunlight during summer days and atmospheric lit by candles or festoon lighting in the evenings – it was used during the 2017 election for a live public debate for Channel 4 News. The Gallery
Gallery back
Main GalleryThis is a versatile space which can be used for artists to hire on a monthly basis, or for private use for events, talks and classes (exhibitions permitting!) It has good acoustics and has been widely used for drinks receptions, poetry nights and talks. The gallery has hosted a wide range of exhibitions from video installations to photography. It can seat around 30 people, or around 50 standing.

The Balcony
During the spring and summer months, our iconic balcony is used for exhibitions and drinks receptions. It overlooks the atrium and has fantastic architecture. It has been used for various events including shooting a music video and an afternoon of ‘Las Vegas Chapel’ Elvis weddings! The area holds around 30 people seated, or up to 50 for a standing event.

The Production Office
Our first floor meeting room is ideal for team meetings of up to 15 people. It is lined with film books and magazines through the decades, so has a real feel of a production office, rather than an oak-walled boardroom! Great for break out sessions, meetings, small seminars and courses. For meetings in this room, we can serve break drinks in the space outside or on the balcony.
