2016 marks 25 years of Light House in The Chubb Buildings and 30 years since it started as a joint Council and Polytechnic initiative.

To celebrate, the British Film Institute are supporting screenings of classic 1991 films.

Some of these screenings will be marked as charity fundraisers to support Light House.

The first screening on 14th June, of THELMA AND LOUISE, was part of the Artsfest Festival.

Our next screening is scheduled for Saturday 16th July at 8.25pm:
RIFF RAFF – Ken Loach
Construction worker Stevie and his girlfriend, an unemployed pop singer, serves to show the living conditions of the British poor.
Starring Robert Carlyle, Ricki Tomlinson and Emer McCourt.

Further films to be scheduled this year: The Commitments, Delicatessen, Silence of the Lambs, Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Café and Cape Fear. (All TBC)
