The latest changes to Government Coronavirus guidance take place on Monday 19th July.

We'll be keeping some measures in place to make your experience at Light House as reassuring and safe as possible.

  • We will still have hand sanitiser points around the building for you to use.
  • Whilst face masks are no longer mandatory, we would encourage their use when in our building and auditorium for the safety of everyone.
  • We will still be undergoing extensive cleaning of our facilities including the auditorium.
  • We recommend booking in advance to limit queuing in the box office.

We are thrilled to announce our reopening on 11th June 2021. We can’t wait to welcome you back to Light House, and we’ve been working in line with government guidance to make our cinema as safe as possible for you and our team. Here are some of the changes you might notice (these might be changed slightly after the government review on the 21st June – we’ll keep you updated!):

We are required under Government test and trace rules to request contact details for all customers aged 16 and over on arrival, either via a QR code check on the NHS Covid-19 app on your phone, or if you do not have access to the app, you must provide your full name and contact phone number on the paper forms available on box office.

You’ll be requested to wear a mask inside our building (including the courtyard, auditorium and box office) and for the duration of the film – unless you are exempt. These can be removed for the purpose of eating or drinking anything you’ve purchased from our bar. We’ve also installed screens around our counters and installed hand sanitiser points for your use.

We’ve reduced our seating capacity to allow for social distancing. Our upstairs screen will remain closed for the time being, and in our downstairs screen some seats are blocked off to ensure distance is maintained. Please bear with us with this! For this reason, we would recommend booking tickets through our website. Unfortunately, due to a technical issue our phoneline is temporarily unavailable. This will be rectified as soon as possible. Please note our opening hours have changed slightly, and you can view those here.

At the end of the film we will be asking you to leave through the fire escape doors to the left of the screen, which lead directly into the car park.

We’re also looking forward to opening our cafe bar again, and we’ve put a few measures in place for everyone’s safety. The number of tables is reduced to enable social distancing, but seating will be available in the café, around box office and in the courtyard on a first come, first served basis. We will be providing table service to minimise people moving around the space, so please remain seated and we’ll come to you! We’ll be keeping our doors open to let more fresh air in, and we’ll be encouraging people to wear masks until seated.

We would ask that you respect government guidelines to keep your distance from anyone outside of your group when inside our building, for everyone’s safety, for example when queuing for tickets or entering or exiting the cinema.

Please do not attend the cinema if you or any of your party are feeling unwell with any of the symptoms of COVID-19 (a continuous cough, high temperature or a change in taste/smell).
