Light House is delighted to be hosting Wolverhampton's own Central Youth Theatre for this special performance in our auditorium.

Meet Charlie. A whimsical yet despondent family man. The 1970s dealt the queer community, some dramatic highs and lows. After Charlie loses a merciless battle with both love and society, he hauls his emotional baggage through the decades. After seeing Wolverhampton’s Club Lafayette closing its doors for the last time, Charlie is forced to leave behind an abundance of tender dreams and memories.

Now steering his way through 2008 (a time when money is tight but ambitions are high) Charlie helps his niece to navigate her way to achieving her dreams, and in return, she aims to undo the damage and restore that infamous 1970s ‘Boogie’.

Blame it on the Boogie is a happy-meaningful romantic comedy about finding love, losing love and doing what it takes to get love back in a wonderfully chaotic world. Join us on the winding road of how one person can forever shape and impact another.
